Ever watch with fascination as a professional cook whips through a pile of vegetables with speed and precision, and not get cut? In this master class, we’ll learn everything you need to know and get hands on practice wielding an assortment of knives. We’ll cover types of knives and their construction, sharpening, and care, as well as how to hold and use your knives for both precision & control- all essential skills for the passionate cook. We’ll chop a small hill of veggies to practice many different types of cuts and to start building up your muscle memory. Then we’ll toss those veggies into a salad and soup for all to share. This is a comprehensive intro to a skill that will last you a lifetime.
